Yingen Batik was established in the year of 2006 and has been accepting orders from various agencies and organisation. The implementation of a government policy which is to encourage government servants including school teachers to wear Malaysian has directly impacted the business of Yingen Batik, and eventually helped Yingen Batik to become the one-stop center for Malaysian batik. Today, Yingen Batik has grown into a limited company and has able to produce its own products,, each with unique designs and trendy patterns.
Batik
The textile drawing is the process of waxing and dyeing cloth by human hands using wax-resist and dye techniques. All the designs you find in in Yingen Batik are uniquely drawn.
Tourist Demand
Batik is set up as a national symbol in the tourist market. Western tourists are more interested in the typical beach outfits and other casual wear that expose a lot of naked skin. These garments are made in block printed as well as hand drawn patterns. A popular type of design on beach wear is deep-sea motive with tropical fish, seashells and bottom vegetation.

Local people prefer Hand drawn textiles. Due to the designer’s creativity, Wax printing textile design gains its progress dramatically. Recently, an unknown technique known as “Double Layer & Overlapped” has developed its own local market. Every aspect from organic to geometric forms had been used to make designs, such as company logo, school badges, ethnics, movement of clouds, floras, faunas and lines etc. These waxes printing design can be made on Cotton, Rayon, Jacquard, or Silk.
